| How
Does Electrolysis Work?
A small disposable sterile probe is inserted into the
hair follicle. A minimal amount of electrical current
is delivered through the probe to the hair root. The
current destroys the follicle either through the production
of heat or a chemical reaction.
Our
office provides all three modalities of electrolysis,
including multi-probe.
Galvanic: The hair is destroyed by
a chemical reaction.
Thermolysis: The hair is destroyed
by a heat production.
Blend: The hair is destroyed by a combination
of heat and a chemical reaction.
Is Electrolysis Permanent?
Yes, electrolysis has been recognized as a permanent
hair removal method for over a century. Results are
permanent for all hair and skin types or colors.
What
Areas Can Be Treated?
Electrolysis can be performed everywhere on the body
except the eyelashes and inner ear. Electrolysis works
well on small areas and stray hairs. Electrolysis is
a great alternative to laser hair removal for white,
gray or blonde hairs that lack melanin.
Is
Electrolysis Safe?
Electrolysis performed by a well-trained Electrologist
is safe. At A Hair Never There, Inc., your safety is
very important to us. We use disposable sterile probes
and gloves on all clients. We follow Universal Precautions
and use a state-of-the-art FDA-approved digital epilator
to ensure a safe and effective treatment. We also regularly
complete continuing education to stay on top of all
the latest Electrology trends. All of our technicians
are nationally recognized as Certified Professional
Electrologists.
Is
Electrolysis Painful?
Most clients describe electrolysis as a warm or tingling
sensation. If you find the treatment uncomfortable,
we will adjust the machine to accommodate your particular
tolerance. You also have the option of purchasing a
topical anesthetic numbing cream at our office, if you’d
like additional comfort.
How
Many Treatments Will I Need?
The density and texture of your hair as well as medications
taken, medical history, and other factors can influence
how many treatments you will need. Most individuals
take an average of 6 months to 1 year to achieve complete
clearance of an area. We encourage you to take advantage
of our free consultation to get an estimate of the number
of treatments you may need.
Why
Should I Choose Your Office?
