Thermolysis

How does Thermolysis Work?
The technician will use a tiny probe that emits heat and carefully traces the unwanted distended capillaries or cherry angioma.  The heat will cauterize the blood supply of the capillary and then form a tiny crust or scab which will shed in a few days post treatment.  Depending on the size of the capillary or angioma one to three treatments are necessary for clearance.

Is Thermolysis safe?
Yes, thermolysis is safe for everyone; it is simply heat and a sterile disposable probe.

How long will it take to notice results?
Results with thermolysis are immediate.  Depending on the size of the problem area it can take one to three treatments for complete clearance however the size, if not completely gone, is significantly diminished post one treatment.

How often do I come in for thermolysis?
Thermolysis can be done at minimum every two weeks, or as long as the crust or scab is completely gone from previous treatments.

How do I improve and maintain my vein reduction results?
We recommend maintenance treatments periodically, following the complete treatment regimen.   Like all non-surgical or surgical techniques, results will last longer if you follow a good skin care regimen.

Does the treatment hurt?
Most clients feel mild discomfort  mostly due to the fact that many treatment are performed on the nose or close to is which naturally causes the eyes to water.

How will I feel after the treatment?
It is normal for the treated area to have a mild heat sensation for up to a few hours following treatment.  In some cases, mild redness can be observed for several hours
