Tanning increases the melanin in the skin. Increased melanin in the treated area holds additional heat in your skin which can cause discomfort and result in a less effective treatment. It is best to avoid sunless tanning products for 2 weeks prior to a Vein Reduction treatment and to let your tan fade for 2 weeks before the procedure.

Who Cannot Have Vein Reduction Treatments?
Our office does not treat individuals who have been taking Accutane in the past 6 months. A test spot may need to be performed for individuals who have been taking oral medications which cause sun sensitivity. We cannot treat individuals with Lupus, MS, Pace Makers, Skin Cancer, women who are pregnant or breast feeding, and individuals with cardio vascular problems. We can not treat over areas where there are Botox or, fillers.
